Front Porch Farms Photoshoot - Mega Post

This post will definitely be a mega post of a recent photoshoot that I was so excited to be apart of. Front Porch Farms is an adorable southern venue located in Ashland City, Tennessee which is 35 minutes outside of the Nashville area. Brian and Kathy Best are the owners of this fab space & were so amazing to work with during the preparation leading up to the photoshoot. Front Porch Farms caters to brides that want a true southern wedding experience, that offers amazing amenities. Kathy has a great eye for selecting just the right antique touches that give a vintage feel to a totally modern southern home.

When I was initially contacted about working on this shoot, I immediately began to envision so many details. Kristyn Hogan the photographer for the shoot, emailed a inspiration board and her only request was make it vintage & incorporate a color palette of canary yellow & grey. Being that those colors are totally haute right now, I had a blast looking for just the right vintage pieces. After finally touring the venue and chatting with Kathy the vision came to life. I was fortunate to be connected with a local antique enthusiast that really is a hidden gem in the Nashville area. I was allowed to browse through over 6,000 sq feet of antiques! Total awe can only describe my reaction when I arrived to start "shopping". Going room by room, while hearing brief stories of particular items from the owner was priceless. I was able to score great linens, vintage osculating fan, an original Samsonite vintage hat box, original bird cage veil hat and soo much more.

On to the florals.....Hillary of Brocade Designs WOWser what can I say about her...we totally vibe off each others energy & she understands even the quirkiest ideas that I put down on paper. {That's HUGE} I ventured to Brocade Designs to have a morning brainstorming session for florals for the shoot, but also other details. I had my "trusty" inspiration journal that goes everywhere with me now, with over 4 pages of possible details. The results of that session are what you see in the finished product!

The stationery was designed by Amber of Sweet Life Designs. In flowing with the canary yellow & grey color palette, my communication with Amber was pretty simple. I wanted to incorporate great menus for the antique table place setting, escort cards, and table numbers. Incorporating the lemonade station tied in the vintage inspiration with vintage apothecary & mason jars. The added "wow" to the lemonade station were the custom monograms on the yellow jumbo milk straws that I was able to find online. The end result was beautiful!

The beautiful cake was provided by Cakes by Shara and the cake topper was designed by Oh That's So Cute, a wonderful Etsy Shop that is based right here in Nashville!

The gorgeous gowns were sent over from the fabulous ladies at The Bride Room...I just adore them. It gets no better than Monique Lhuillier, Amsale, Priscilla of Boston & Lela Rose for the models bridal attire along with the stunning Monique Lhuillier bib necklace! A special thank you to hairstylist Trish Johnson.

The bride's necklace is stunning. It's the perfect piece to wear with such a simple dress.
