I had the pleasure of styling Chelsea & Braden of Nashville for their engagement shoot that was in Antigua, Guatemala.  They were such a pleasure to work with and I must say even through the distance of the shoot their looks turned out amazing!

When planning your wedding & your engagement shoot style its important to select looks that are cohesive in color palette but also that complement your personal style as a couple.  With Chelsea and Braden they wanted their engagement pictures to reflect their personal style and to look natural.  I think we definitely achieved this with their engagement looks.

In shopping for their looks, we remained well within budget, shopped at stores that they loved  but also selected pieces that they can wear after the photoshoot is over.  There are many misconceptions of "Can I afford to hire a Bridal Stylist for my wedding?"  You really can't afford NOT to hire a Bridal Stylist if you aren't very style savvy.  You want to look your best for your engagement & wedding photos because lets face it....we are in a social media driven society and you want to make a first & lasting impression for one of the most important days of your life as a couple.

Bridal styling can be as unique and personal as you would like it to be.  As a Bridal Stylist I take the time to get to know my clients via style questionnaires & personal meetings to determine their personal style, overall wedding vision & also the vision that they may have for their engagement photos.  Its becoming very popular for couples to have destination engagement photoshoots as well as themed engagement shoots that capture the couples personality.

Working with a Bridal Stylist for your wedding and engagement style actually helps you to eliminate the stress of shopping for "the perfect look" for your special day.  In working with Chelsea & Braden they completed their style questionnaire and we shopped together for 4-5 looks for their destination engagement shoot in Antigua Guatemala.  Believe it or not we scored those looks in under 3 hours of weekend shopping which is nothing short of amazing!!  If shopping is not your favorite past time I can shop for you and schedule in home fittings for your engagement style looks!

I would urge every couple that is recently engaged to seek out the assistance of a Bridal Stylist for your engagement & bridal style needs.  You want your engagement & wedding memories to be flawless and memorable because these memories will last a lifetime.  Trust me your wedding photographer will actually thank you when you work with a Bridal Stylist because it actually helps their editing process because your styles are cohesive.  Having a cohesive color palette, personal style & shoot location for your engagement images helps in telling your love story.

Bridal Style: Non Traditional - Yet Trendy Bridesmaid...

Lets face it, bridal style is everywhere, whether you are a bride, bridesmaid or Groom.  The pressure to look your best & stylish is present especially with the presence of social media.  Bridesmaids styles are pretty traditional unless you add a twist to it with variations of colors, lengths or even allowing the bridesmaids to pick their own dresses as long as its in the same color palette.

Well you know that bridal styling is my thing...right?  There is a resurgence of an old style trend that I think would be absolutely adorable for a afternoon Spring/Summer garden wedding.  Culottes!!  Now hear me out, Culottes were typically worn in the Victorian Era when women would go horseback riding because it very difficult to be lady-like and straddle a horse in a skirt.  Culottes is actually described as a "riding split skirt".   I rocked culottes probably 8-10 years ago when they made a come back into the fashion scene.  However if you have visited any major department store or specialty store in the last several weeks, culottes are definitely making a comeback for the Spring & Summer.

How to make them work for an afternoon wedding?  With today's style of culotte jumpers it would be easy to incorporate this style trend into your bridesmaid wedding attire.  I would suggest it for an afternoon or garden wedding.  This look could easily be accessorized with statement jewelry & also a pashmina to cover the arms for chilly evenings.   What's even better is the fact that your bridesmaids will be comfortable & confident because truthfully its appears like they are rocking a midi skirt until they walk and you can see the split. Win, Win!

Here is an example of a culottes jumper that I would recommend for a lower style budget wedding.  However if this is a style that you like, it would be simple to recreate this look with a more quality fabric + an amazing seamstreess for a luxury budget wedding as well!

Would you consider this as an option for your bridesmaids?  I personally love this look & would love to hear your thoughts!

Bridal Style | Bridal Manicures with Zoya Naturel Satins

Now a days a bridal manicure is almost just as important as the perfect wedding dress or statement heels.  Zoya Naturel Satin Polish Collection is amazing for the perfect neutral bridal manicure that can be rocked with any gown from traditional white/ivory & also blush pink.  This colors are very pigmented and long wearing with your favorite top coat.  Also because they are mostly nudes, they will transition well with your honeymoon style looks if you are honeymooning right after your wedding day!

Another awesome thing about Zoya Nail Polishes is that they are very high quality, made from natural ingredients & the first to remove toxic ingredients such as toluene, camphor, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin and DBP (dibutyl phthalate) from its formulations!

New York Fashion Week Fall 2015 - Naeem Khan

Its the most wonderful time of the year if you love style & fashion, its New York Fashion Week.  Showing currently at Fashion Week are designers presenting their collections for Fall 2015 Ready to Wear.  What is special about Ready to Wear collections is that designers also present gowns that could possibly be worn for formal events & weddings.

Naeem Khan is a designer who is definitely on the come up with young Hollywood.  This RTW Collection is definitely red carpet ready with the strapless chiffon gowns, black & white color palettes & tuxedo looks.

This collections impressed me because as I mentioned it can also be worn for formal events & even bridal if the brides wants to rock a non traditional or super couture gown for her wedding or even reception.

My favorites from the Naeem Khan:

Wedding Dress - I am in Love with Atelier Pronovias

To use the word obsessed is a bit obsessive, however I am obsessed with the Atelier Pronovias 2015 collection!! *smile*

These wedding dresses are definitely for the bride that loves haute couture designs & isn't apprehensive to show a little more skin with her dress design.  I love the lace details & illusion necklines on the mermaid style dresses & the shirt/skirt combinations on several of the dresses.
What I also love is that the Atelier Pronovias collection suites the style of a combination of brides from traditional to couture.
